W wymiarze gospodarczym FGUP Goszagransobstvennost angażuje się w relacje biznesowo-finansowe pomiędzy rosyjskimi przedsiębiorstwami i stowarzyszeniami gospodarczymi poprzez promocję rosyjskich produktów i technologii na tynkach zagranicznych. Dochody uzyskiwane przez FGPU Goszagransobstvennost zasilają bezpośrednio budżet Federacji Rosyjskiej. Realizacja powyższego odbywa się z naruszeniem zapisów Konwencji Wiedeńskiej w części dot. stosunków dyplomatycznych poprzez komercyjne wykorzystanie obiektów o przeznaczeniu dyplomatycznym. FGUP Goszagransobstvennost, jako podmiot podległy bezpośrednio Urzędowi Prezydentowi Federacji Rosyjskiej, stanowi wydzielony element rosyjskiej gospodarki, a generowane zyski z zarządzania aktywami za granicą wspierają finansowo rząd FR odpowiedzialny za aneksję Krymu i destabilizację Ukrainy. Od 15 listopada 2023 r. przedsiębiorstwo FGUP Goszagransobstvennost zostało umieszczone na liście sankcyjnej Republiki Czeskiej.
