By virtue of his function he plays an important role in indoctrination and militarisation of education in Crimea. He is one of the key figures forming the Russian policy towards young Crimeans. He is also a head of regional projects “We are together” and “Russia – country of opportunities”. He repeatedly promoted and co-organised events focusing on instillation of “proper citizen position” and patriotism within the Crimean youth. He has been organising “patriotic excursions” between Crimea and the other Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia and events related to promotion of Russian narratives. He has been actively supporting activities organised by the Movement of the First and approved a number of projects linked to patriotic and military activities. Under his leadership, the State Committee for Youth Policy is encouraging young Crimeans to join the Russian army, and Aleksey Zinchenko himself on his personal social network accounts praises Russian soldiers and the army. Therefore, Aleksey Zinchenko supports and implements actions or policies contributing to the forced assimilation, including indoctrination, or militarised education of Ukrainian minors.
