John Numbi has therefore been involved in planning, directing or committing acts that constitute serious human rights violations or abuses in the DRC. Until early 2021, John Numbi retained a position of influence in the FARDC, especially in Katanga, where serious human rights violations committed by the FARDC have been reported. John Numbi is involved in destabilising activities in the DRC, aimed in particular at the secession of the province of Katanga.
