Sanctions register
Every regime we track, straight from the issuing authority's own published list. What each one actually publishes differs sharply — some date every designation and state its grounds, others publish neither — and the rows below say which, because a listing you cannot date is a listing you cannot fully check.
Companies are counted once per regime that lists them, so a company named by six authorities appears in six rows — the totals above are listings, not unique companies. People are counted only where an authority names them in their own right, which three of these lists do and the rest do not. A listing that stops appearing in a source's snapshot is marked lifted rather than deleted, so a company's history stays readable.
These lists exclude a company from public contracts or from a development bank's financing, or warn that a firm is not authorised. That is a different thing from a sanction, so none of them is counted above.
