    La prison centrale de Shiraz, ou prison d’Adel Abad, située à Shiraz, qui se situe dans la province de Fars en Iran, est une prison dans laquelle les droits fondamentaux des détenus sont systématiquement violés et où de nombreux opposants à la République islamique d’Iran ont été exécutés, y compris sur la base de châtiments collectifs. Plusieurs otages ressortissants de pays européens ont été illégalement détenus dans cette prison, où ils ont été privés de leur droit à un procès équitable et où ils ont subi de graves violations de leurs droits les plus fondamentaux. En outre, cette prison participe à la répression des minorités ethniques et religieuses du sud de l’Iran (y compris les minorités arabes, kurdes, baloutches, tribus semi-nomades et baha’ie) en procédant à des exécutions quasi systématiques.
