  SMT Engineering (SMT) est une entreprise basée au Soudan qui détient ou contrôle, avec DIS, de nombreuses entreprises faisant partie du conglomérat GIAD, qui est contrôlé par les FAS, par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de participations directes et indirectes. SMT est le principal actionnaire de trois entreprises de GIAD, dans lesquelles DIS détient le reste des actions (la GIAD pour l'industrie automobile et des camions, le complexe GIAD pour les industries des mécanismes lourds et le complexe GIAD pour la métallurgie). SMT détient ou contrôle en outre, directement ou indirectement, de nombreuses autres entreprises appartenant au conglomérat GIAD, dans lesquelles DIS détient également des participations, par exemple la GIAD pour l’industrie automobile. Le conglomérat GIAD participe à la production d'armes et de véhicules pour les forces armées, ainsi qu'à la fourniture de services aux FAS, notamment dans le cadre d'un partenariat entre la GIAD pour l’industrie automobile et le Corps des ingénieurs. DIS est un vaste conglomérat détenu par les FAS qui apporte un soutien aux actions et aux politiques des FAS menaçant la paix, la stabilité et la sécurité du Soudan, notamment par la fabrication et la fourniture d’une gamme d’équipements militaires, dont des armes, des munitions, des aéronefs et des véhicules militaires, qui sont utilisés par les forces armées dans le conflit au Soudan. Par conséquent, SMT Engineering apporte un soutien aux actions et aux politiques des FAS qui menacent la paix, la stabilité et la sécurité du Soudan. En outre, SMT Engineering est associé à DIS, qui apporte également un soutien aux actions et aux politiques des FAS menaçant la paix, la stabilité et la sécurité du Soudan.
